Moxifloxacin Eye Drops are a type of antibiotic used to treat bacterial eye infections, such as conjunctivitis (pink eye) or other infections affecting the eye. Moxifloxacin belongs to a class of antibiotics called fluoroquinolones. It works by inhibiting the growth of bacteria by interfering with the enzymes that bacteria need to replicate their DNA.

Common uses:

• Treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis (pink eye).
• Other bacterial eye infections as prescribed by a healthcare provider.

Directions for use:

• Typically, the recommended dosage is 1 to 2 drops in the affected eye(s) 3 times a day or as directed by your doctor.
• Wash your hands before and after using the drops.
• Be sure to avoid touching the tip of the dropper to any surface, including the eye, to prevent contamination.

Possible side effects:

• Eye irritation: A slight burning or stinging feeling in the eye is common right after application.
