Composition & Pharmacology

Active Ingredient: Moxifloxacin hydrochloride 0.5%w/v
Class: Fluoroquinolone antibiotic ” bactericidal via inhibition of DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, killing both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria 
Indications
Treatment of bacterial ocular infections: such as conjunctivitis, corneal ulcers, blepharitis, and post-surgery prophylaxis
Dosage & Administration
Typical Use: Instill one drop into the infected eye(s) whichever frequency prescribed by your ophthalmologist
Technique: Tilt your head back, pull down the lower eyelid, instill the drop, close your eyes for 1“2 minutes; repeat for other eye if necessary 
Important Instructions: Avoid contamination”do not touch dropper tip to the eye or surfaces 
Precautions & Contraindications
Avoid in: Known hypersensitivity to moxifloxacin or quinolones 
Use caution: Contact lenses”remove before use due to preservatives
Interactions: Inform your doctor about concurrent medications (including OTC and herbal supplements) 
Blurred Vision: May temporarily impair vision”avoid driving or operating machinery until vision clears 
Storage & Handling
Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight 
Expiry: Check the bottle label”typically recommended for single-patient use; discard unused contents after a specified number of days
Adverse EffectsCommon Side Effects:
