About DEXAPAR EYE DROPS 5ML

• Active ingredient:Dexamethasone sodium phosphate0.1%w/v (glucocorticoid steroid)Preservative: Likelyphenyl mercuric nitrateorbenzalkonium chloride, per typical formulations of Dexamethasone eye drops in India; confirmed sources mention phenyl mercuric nitrate in similar Biomedica (Dexapar) products

• Used for:

  • Reducing ocular inflammation and edema (post-operative swelling, allergic conjunctivitis, uveitis, etc.)

  • Adjunctive therapy in eye infections to alleviate redness/swelling

• Mechanism: Blocks prostaglandin synthesis to reduce inflammation, redness, and itching

• Form & Packaging

• Supplied in a5mL sterile dropper bottle

• Storage: Keep below 30C; ensure seal integrity before first use

• Avoid usein viral, fungal, or acanthamoeba eye infections (unless used alongside appropriate anti-infectives)

• Cautionin patients with:

  • Glaucoma, raised intraocular pressure

  • Eye trauma or penetrating injury

  • Systemic conditions (e.g. diabetes, hypertension)

• Dosage: As prescribed. Typically 1ï2 drops into the affected eye(s),3ï4 times daily, tapering based on clinical response.
